It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It’s time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass! Madeleine Albright once said "It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent." My guests on today’s podcast are momprenuers with 9 children between them and they refuse to stay silent. The two best friends love sipping wine, traveling and empowering women. Together they created SHE wines.

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG
Monday Oct 04, 2021
Monday Oct 04, 2021
It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It’s time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass! Today I am sitting down with Nicole Ruiz Hudson and we are sharing a glass of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. The original production zone of Italy’s sparkling wine, this region is extremely small and has incredibly steep hillsides with much more complex soils than the DOC.
During the interview I enjoyed Zardetto Long Charmat Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut. A big thank you to Kimberly Charles of Charles Communications for helping to arrange the interview and supplying the samples to both Nicole and myself.

It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It’s time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass! Today I sit down with my buddy Nick Berube, aka WineCommGuy. During our conversation, we share a bit of knowledge about an old California AVA, that just doesn’t have the recognition that it’s neighboring AVA, Napa has. YET! We were privileged to have received samples from 5 of the 12 wineries in the AVA. As you listen, you will learn that Suisun Valley AVA is one that should be on your radar.

Monday Sep 13, 2021
It’s Monday! Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week! It’s time to unscrew, uncork, or saber a bottle and let’s begin exploring the wine glass! Today on the podcast I am sharing a Master Class I virtually attended on Rioja. The class was hosted by Christian Oggenfuss, CEO of Napa Valley Wine Academy and was presented by MW Kryss Speegle and Dhane Chesson, US Trade Program Director.
Thank you to the Napa Valley Wine Academy for hosting this seminar.
We are all familiar with Tempranillo, from the Rioja region, but in this seminar, we also learned about Graciano, Garnacha and the white grape variety, Viura.

Villány on Winephabet Street
Monday Sep 06, 2021
Monday Sep 06, 2021
It’s Monday! Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week! It’s time to unscrew, uncork, or saber a bottle and let’s begin exploring the wine glass! Today on the podcast we return to Winephabet Street where the letter of the day is V and it stands for Villány.
I was so excited to be able to see some familiar faces, even if it was only through the computer. Talking with András Horkay, Andrea Gere and Erhard Heumann brought back wonderful memories of my trip to Villány a couple of years ago for the Franc & Franc Conference.
Everyone knows how much of a Cab Franc fiend I am, so when it came to reaching out for a sponsor for the letter “V” I knew where to go, and was beyond thrilled they agreed to share their stories with us. An extra special thank you to Attila Tancsó for arranging everything!
I know you are going to enjoy this episode as much as I did. The wines are distributed in the United States, so be sure to find them and add them to your collection. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
These wines are imported by Wines of Hungary in Washington DC.

The Other White Grape in the FLX AVA
Monday Aug 30, 2021
Monday Aug 30, 2021
It’s Monday! Let’s raise a glass to another week! It’s time to unscrew, uncork, or saber a bottle and let’s begin exploring the wine glass!
Today on the podcast I am sharing a recording from a virtual tasting that I attended hosted by the New York Wine and Grape Foundation. When we hear Finger Lakes wine, I think the majority of us immediately think of Riesling. And although the Finger Lakes makes quality Riesling, there is another white grape that does exceptionally well there. Chardonnay. In fact, it is the second most widely planted variety in the region.
The tasting was moderated by Dan Belmont, American Wine Expert and holds a WSET L3 certification.
I was sent three sample Chardonnay’s from
Ben Riccardi, Winemaker
Osmote Wine Co.
Jeremy Broshiers
Damiani Wine Cellars
Alex Rosanelli, Winemaker
Hounds Tree Wines
Alongside the Chardonnay, I received cheddar cheese from Cabot cheese. A compliment of different cheddar cheeses that will pair perfectly with the three Chardonnays.
Thank you to the New York Wine and Grape Foundation and Cabot Cheese for sponsoring this class and to the wineries, Osmote Wine Co, Damiani Wine Cellars and Hounds Tree Wines for allowing me to participate.
Listen in as we hear about cool climate Chardonnay and how much the Finger Lakes has to offer.

BEST OF! Talking Finger Lakes History with John Wagner
Monday Aug 23, 2021
Monday Aug 23, 2021
It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It’s time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass! It has been a whirl wind three weeks and I have not had time to record a new episode. But don’t worry, today’s Best of is seriously an incredible episode! I had the pleasure and luck to sit down with John Wagner of Wagner Vineyards in the Finger Lakes. His family has been involved in the Finger Lakes wine industry for generations. Not only does he know the history of the region, but he knows how to make exceptional wines. Wagner Vineyards was named 2019 New York Wine Classic Winery of the Year, after 4 of his Rieslings received Double Gold! I hope you enjoy this Best of Episode and I’ll be back with a new episode next week. Slainte!
